Joint Parking Facilitics Permitted; Provision: Required parking facilities sef';ing two (2) or more <br />2 uses may be located on the same lot or in the same structure, provided that the total number of <br />3 parking spaces furnished shall not be less than the sum of the separate requirements for each use. <br />4 2. General Conditions For LA...pproval: The City Council may approve the joint use of parking <br />5 facilities for the follov;ing uses or activities under the follo"ving conditions: <br />6 a. Up to fifty percent (50%) of the parking facilities required for a theater, bowling alley, dance <br />7 hall, bar or restaurant may be supplied by the off strect parking facilities provided by types of <br />8 uses specified under subsection d belo,:,' as primarily daytime uses. <br />9 b. Up to fifty percent (50%) of the off street parking facilities required for any use specified <br />10 under subsection E2d of this section as primarily daytime uses may be supplied by the parking <br />11 facilities pro','idcd by the follov;ing nighttime or SUI'lday uses: auditoriums ineidental to a public <br />12 or parochial school, churches, bowling alleys, dance halls, theaters, bars or restaurants. <br />13 c. Churches LA.nd School LA.uditoriums: Up to fifty percent (50%) of the parking facilities required <br />14 for a church or for an auditorium incidental to a public or parochial school may be supplied by the <br />15 off street parking facilities pro';ided by uses specified in subsection E2d of this section as <br />16 primarily daytime uses. <br />17 d. Daytime Uses: For the purposes of this subsection, the follmving uses are considered as <br />18 primarily daytime uses: banks, business offices, retail stores, personal ser';ice shops, household <br />19 equipment or furniture shops, clothing or shoe repair or service shops, manufacturing, \vholesale <br />20 and similar uses. <br />21 e. Conditions Required For Joint Use: <br />22 (1) The building or use for ...,'hich application is being made to utilize the off street parking <br />23 facilities provided by another building or use shall be located ..vi thin four hundred feet (100') <br />24 of such parking facilities. <br />25 (2) The applicant shall shovl that there is not substantial conflict in principal operating hours <br />26 of the tv,'o (2) buildings or uses for '",hich joint usc of off street parking facilities is proposed. <br />27 (3) l... properly dra'.vn legal instrument, executed by the parties concerned for joint use of off <br />28 street parking facilities, duly approved as to form and manner of execution by the city <br />29 attorney, shall be filed '/lith the city manager. <br />30 f. Fractional Spaces: When application of the regulations for determining required off street <br />31 parking spaces results in a requirement of a fractional space, any fraction up to and including one <br />32 half (1/2) shall be disregarded and fractions over one half (1/2) as one additional parking space. <br />33 F. Off Street Loading: One off street loading space shall be provided in all business districts in <br />34 connection ..vith all buildings or additions hereafter erected having a gross floor area of ten thousand <br />35 (10,000) square feet or more 'Nhich are to be occupied by a use or uses requiring the receipt or <br />36 distribution of materials or stock by vehicles. One additional space shall be pro'lided for each twenty <br />37 thousand (20,000) square feet or major fraction thereof oyer the origin:a1 tcn thousand (10,000) <br />38 square feet. No tractor or trailer shall be parked in such spacc for over seventy tv.o (72) hours. (Ord. <br />39 275, 5 12 1959; amd. 1990 Code) <br />40 E.G. Enclosure Of Certain Businesses <br />41 1. All business, stor , ervice, repair, processing or merchandising display shall be conducted <br />42(p1~.
