<br />4.0 BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />4.1 Section 1002.02 reads: RESTAURANT: A restaurant is an establishment selling foods <br />prepared for consumption of customers and shall include the following subclassifications: <br /> <br />A. Traditional Restaurant: A traditional restaurant is a restaurant where a majority of <br />the customers select their food while seated at a counter or table. <br /> <br />B. Cafeteria Restaurant: A cafeteria restaurant is a restaurant where a majority of the <br />customers select their food at a serving line and consume the food at a table or <br />counter. <br /> <br />C. Fast Food Restaurant: A fast food restaurant is a restaurant where a majority of <br />the customers order food and are served food at a counter and the food is <br />thereafter taken to a table, counter or off the premises for consumption. <br /> <br />D. Drive-In Restaurant: A drive-in restaurant is a restaurant where a majority of the <br />customers order and consume their food in an automobile parked on the premises. <br />(Ord.805,3-14-77) <br /> <br />4.2 Section 1005.03A2 (B-1-B, Limited Retail District; Permitted Uses) reads: Restaurants <br />over 5,000 square feet in area. <br /> <br />4.3 Section 1005.05A19 reads: Restaurants including live entertainment and dancing (this <br />use is allowed as a Conditional Use Permit in the B-1-B district). <br /> <br />4.4 Section 1005.04A53 (B-2, Retail Business District; Permitted Uses) reads: Restaurants, <br />when no entertainment or dancing is provided but excluding food take out or self service <br />restaurants (Ord. 656, 10-18-71). <br />4.5 Section 1005.04C15 (B-2 Conditional Uses) reads: Food takeout or self-service <br />restaurants. These are restaurants designed to serve food primarily to be consumed off <br />the premises or a self-service restaurant when food is eaten on the premises (Ord. 656, <br />10-18-71). <br /> <br />4.6 Section 1005.04C16 reads: Restaurants when live entertainment and patron dancing is <br />provided, except that such entertainment shall not include dancers or models (Ord. 707, <br />10-29-73). <br /> <br />4.7 Section 1005.05A19 (B-3, General Business District; Permitted Uses) reads: Restaurants <br />including live entertainment and dancing, but excluding food take out or self-service <br />restaurants. <br /> <br />4.8 Section 1005.05C5 (B-3 Conditional Uses) reads: Drive-ins <br /> <br />4.9 Section 1005.05C14 reads: Food take out or self-service restaurants.
