square feet, which total complies with the 30% maximum coverage allowance; and WHEREAS, Mr. Voermans proposes to add 503 square feet of home and site improvements, which would increase the total impervious coverage for the parcel to 3,743 or 35% or an overage of 503 square feet from that which is allowed by the City Code; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the Voermans variance request (Section 1004.01A6) on April 2, 2003, and recommended (7-0) approval of the request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated April 2, 2003. 6.1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Gerald Voermans a 503 square foot (5%) VARIANCE to Section 1004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code allowing the construction a living area addition to the north side (rear) of the existing home and associated site improvements (sidewalk, patio, stoops) at 1251 Roma Avenue, subject to the following conditions: a. The proposed improvements not exceed 3,743 square feet or 35% of the parcel SIze. b. The additions must match or be similar to that of the existing building in color and/or materials. c. Gutters and downspouts being placed along the eve of the addition/home where appropriate to properly direct roof drainage onto the subject parcel and away from neighboring properties. d. No additional accessory buildings, a garden shed, or garage addition being allowed without an approved variance. e. The review and approval of a building permit consistent with the approved plans and variance. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Schroeder and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Klausing, Maschka, Schroeder, Kough and Kysylyczyn and the following voted against: None WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 2
