<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of June, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 15.5 FOOT VARIANCE <br />TO SECTION 1004.02D5 OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 970 TRANSIT AVENUE (PF 3464) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Roland Gisvold has requested a variance to Section 1004.02D5 (Dwelling <br />Dimensions - Front Yard Setback) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 20 <br />foot wide by 22 foot deep (440 sq. ft.) attached garage onto his existing home; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Gisvold parcel is located at 970 Transit Avenue and legally described at <br /> <br />as: <br /> <br />Lot 12, Block 14, C. W. Michael Fourth Addition <br />PID: 11-29-23-24-0029 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code requires a minimum front <br />yard principal structure setback of 30 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Gisvold request would encroach 14.5 feet into the required front yard <br />adjacent to Transit Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Gisvold variance request (Section 1004.02D5) on May 7, 2003, and recommended (5-0) <br />approval of the request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of <br />the project report dated May 7,2003. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Roland <br />Gisvold a 15.5 foot VARIANCE to Section l004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code allowing the <br />construction a 20 foot wide by 22 foot deep (440 sq. ft.) attached garage onto the existing home <br />at 970 Transit A venue, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. The proposed front yard addition (north) be limited to an encroachment of a <br />distance not to exceed 15.5 feet or to a point no closer than 14.5 feet from the <br />front yard property line. The garage can be designed with a west facing door <br />and a new "L" shaped drive is possible, without parking in the boulevard. <br /> <br />1 <br />
