Parking Lot Aisle: Any drive aisle in a parking lot in any residential zoning <br />4 district serving a building containing three (3) or more dwelling units or in <br />5 any zone other than a residential zoning district shall be a minimum of twenty <br />6 four feet (24') except one-way drive aisles which shall be a minimum of <br />7 eighteen feet (18'). (703.04B3) <br />8 <br />9 4. Intersection: On properties zoned R-1 or R-2, no driveway shall be located <br />10 within thirty feet (30') of any right of way of a street intersection. On <br />11 properties in all other zones, no driveway shall be located within forty feet <br />12 (40') of any right-of-way line of a street intersection. Said distances shall be <br />13 measured along the property line from the corner right-of-way line. (703.04B4) <br />14 <br />15 5. Minimum Driveway Angle: The minimum driveway angle from a two-way <br />16 access street shall be sixty degrees (600), from a one-way street it shall be <br />17 thirty degrees (300). Driveway Approaches: Driveway approaches between the curb and the <br />20 property line shall be constructed of concrete, asphalt, brick pavers at a <br />21 strength capable of handling the weight of cars and trucks (generally stamped <br />22 on bottom of paver) or other hard surface pavement approved by the Public <br />23 Works Director. (703.04B6) <br />24 <br />25 If concrete is used for the driveway, where there is no concrete curb or gutter, <br />26 the concrete driveway shall be held back two feet (2') from the edge of the <br />27 roadway. The remaining two feet (2') shall be surfaced with hot mixed <br />28 bituminous material. Prior to starting work, the owner or builder shall obtain a <br />29 permit from the Community Development Director or designee. (703.04B6) <br />30 <br />31 7. Driveways: Driveways shall be constructed of concrete, asphalt, brick pavers <br />32 or other hard surface pavement approved by the Public Works Director. The <br />33 periphery of parking areas and drives shall be constructed with poured in <br />34 place concrete curbing. (703.04B7) <br />35 <br />36 8. Driveway Elevation: The driveway elevation at the property line shall not be <br />37 more than ten inches (lO") nor less than four inches (4") above the center line <br />38 of the abutting street with a maximum slope to gutter lines of 10%+ and a <br />39 minimum slope of 2%+. Driveways On Private Property: Residential driveways, shall be constructed <br />42 so that the edge of the driveway nearest to the side lot line shall be a minimum <br />43 of five feet (5') from the side lot line.
