The Community Development Staff has <br />determined that this variance, if granted, will not alter the essential character <br />of the locality, nor adversely affect the public health, safety, or general <br />welfare, of the city or adjacent properties. <br /> <br />6.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />6.1 Based on the information provided and the findings in Section 5 of this project report, <br />staff recommends approval of an 859 square foot (8%) V ARIANCE to Section <br />1004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code for Bernard & Kathy Laur to allow construction of <br />a three season porch on to their home at 600 Sextant Avenue, subject to the following <br />conditions: <br /> <br />A The parcel being limited to 4,171 square feet of impervious coverage. <br /> <br />B The porch addition being limited to a size of 15 feet by 15 feet or 225 square feet. <br /> <br />C Gutters being installed on the structure to properly direct rain water and snow melt <br />away from adjacent residential parcels. <br /> <br />D The review and approval of a building permit consistent with the approved plans <br />and variance.
