Fire Department & Allina Health Emergency Medical Services Medical Di- <br /> rection and Oversight Contract Extension Agreement <br /> Willmus moved, McGehee seconded, authorizing the Fire Department to enter in- <br /> to a contract extension (Attachment A) with Allina Health Emergency Medical <br /> Services for medical oversight and education for a period of ninety days. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Laliberte, McGehee, Willmus, Etten, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> 8. Consider Items Removed from Consent <br /> f. Fire Department & Northeast Metro Intermediate District 916 Medical <br /> Training Program Agreement <br /> At the request of Mayor Roe, City Manager Patrick Trudgeon briefly reviewed <br /> this item being considered as detailed in the RCA dated December 8, 2014, for <br /> student ride-along opportunities with Roseville Fire EMT's. <br /> At the request of Councilmember McGehee, Fire Chief Tim O'Neill confirmed <br /> that this item had been brought forward for consideration by the City Council in <br /> June of 2014. However, Mr. O'Neill advised that students were just starting <br /> spring break, so the program had been delayed, and was just now being initiated. <br /> Chief O'Neill further advised that two changes to the document had been incorpo- <br /> rated at the previous request of City Council, and therefore was being submitted <br /> to the City Council for their approval and authorization. <br /> McGehee moved, Etten seconded, authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to en- <br /> ter into an agreement (Attachment A) with Northeast Metro Intermediate District <br /> 916 for teaching assistance for their Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Pro- <br /> gram. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Laliberte, McGehee, Willmus, Etten, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> g. Consider Approval and Support of Special Legislation Regarding the Com- <br /> position of the Roseville Fire Relief Association Board of Trustees <br /> At the request of Mayor Roe, City Manager Patrick Trudgeon briefly reviewed <br /> this item being considered as detailed in the RCA dated December 8, 2014; and <br /> deferred to Relief Association President Breen for further detail. <br /> Dave Breen, President of the Roseville Firefighter's Relief Association <br /> Mr. Breen concurred with the summary by City Manager Trudgeon, and as de- <br /> tailed in the RCA; advising that the legislation was intended to allow continued <br /> local governance of the relief fund.. Mr. Breen advised that this also opened the <br /> door for the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) to govern the <br />
