Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, December 8,2014 <br /> Page 8 <br /> McGehee moved, Laliberte seconded, confirmation of the citizen advisory com- <br /> mission reappointment/appointment process as detailed in the RCA dated Decem- <br /> ber 8, 2014. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Laliberte, McGehee, Willmus, Etten, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> 9. General Ordinances for Adoption <br /> Recess <br /> Mayor Roe recessed the meeting at approximately 6:40 p.m., and reconvened at approximately <br /> 6:41 p.m. <br /> 10. Presentations <br /> a. Community Engagement Commission (CEG) Joint Meeting <br /> Mayor Roe welcomed members of the CEG to this second joint meeting. <br /> Chair Gary Grefenberg and Members Michelle Manke, Theresa Gardella; Scot <br /> Becker; Jonathan Miller; Desiree Mueller were present and introduced them- <br /> selves. <br /> As detailed in the RCA dated December 8, 2014, Chair Grefenberg noted 2015 <br /> priority Work Plan items as identified, seeking City Council feedback on those <br /> recommended policies and strategies going forward. Chair Grefenberg advised <br /> that all recommendations were approved by a consensus or majority vote of the <br /> CEG. <br /> Work Plan Priority Items for 2015 <br /> Assist and Encourage the Formation of Roseville Neighborhood Associations <br /> Chair Grefenberg noted that this was a continuation of community discussions in <br /> 2007 and as part of the Imagine Roseville 2025 visioning process. <br /> Host a Conference on Community Engagement in Roseville <br /> Member Gardella noted that the priority items were developed through the CEG <br /> dividing into 4-5 workgroups to develop them, and then presented to the full CEG <br /> for discussion and approval. Ms. Gardella advised that the process took seven <br /> months to accomplish,but served to make the process more manageable. <br /> Form a Joint Task Force with the Planning Commission to Study Notification Is- <br /> sues and Formats <br /> Chair Grefenberg noted the ongoing interest in getting information out to the pub- <br /> lic; and while he found those attempts better than they were eight years ago, there <br /> was still room for improvement. Chair Grefenberg suggested that items coming <br /> forward for land use or zoning consideration that were of a more significant envi- <br /> ronmental nature (e.g. asphalt plant) should receive a wider notice distribution <br />
