Holt, M. Holt, Newby, and Wall notified staff about being unable to attend <br />STAFF: Anfang, Brokke <br />NOTE: Lack of quorum at this meeting <br />1. INTRODUCTIONS <br />2. ROLL CALL/PUBLIC COMMENT <br />No Public comment <br />3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — NOVEMBER 6, 2014 MEETING <br />Minutes for the November 6, 2014 Parks & Recreation Commission meeting were not voted on <br />due to lack of a quorum. <br />4. REVIEW JOINT MEETING with the CITY COUNCIL <br />Vice Chair Diedrick summarized the recent Council update. <br />• Commission representatives discussed Roseville Deer population, Community Center <br />consideration, Cedarholm Golf Course, Volunteer Participation. <br />• Diedrick commented that the meeting started off with the feeling that the Council were <br />expecting the entire Commission to be present rather than a representation of membership. <br />o Commissioners discussed possibilities for future updates. <br />• Diedrick reported on the Deer Population discussion; <br />o based on Council discussion, a small group of Commissioners need to gather <br />further information and report back findings. <br />■ Gelbach volunteered to decipher Council minutes and outline references for <br />Commission to discuss at an upcoming meeting. <br />■ Gelbach suggested adding action steps to the report. Gelbach will add <br />action steps to his review of Council questions. <br />• Diedrick's review of the Community Center included; <br />o Did not appear to be a hot topic. Further discussions are probably 12 or more <br />months out. <br />o Council asked for a project plan. The project plan would be a tool, giving direction <br />when the Council does decide to move forward. <br />■ Plan might include funding mechanisms, components, involve community, <br />referendum direction. <br />• Diedrick's Golf Course report included; <br />o The Council had a number of questions and referenced an action plan. <br />o Brokke spoke to the Cedarholm CIP and the need for future improvements. <br />■ Due to the age of the structures, there is the potential for structural issues <br />down the road. <br />■ Currently the facilities are safe, clean and functional. <br />■ Commissioners discussed developing a use analysis involving Golf Course <br />staff, <br />• Look at fund and fund balance <br />• Look at Capital needs <br />• Golf Course staff to report to Commission at an upcoming meeting <br />5. 2015 DRAFT MEETING CALENDAR <br />
