As you can see, th~ water dralnage is
designed to flow fro. Woodhill Drive to County Road C-2. The
natural grade enables us to divert the water runoff away from the
eXisting residences due to the fact that we will be at a l~wer
grade. The e~.stIng draInage plan then calls for pondlng ar~as
to collect the water In the mIddle an~ ext:eMe northwest corner
of the site.
:...
In an effort to a~'- s responsIbilities of the City and the
VFW, I spoke Wit r1 Klel the city Assistant Engineer. Carl
indlcated to ffie tn spectlve party will be required to
supply the City wlth sufficient draInage concept plans prior to
receivlng grading perml:S to complete the park and expansion
parking. I have asked Carl to write to you directly explaining
the b~nef1ts of the n~~ plan whlch dlverts water runoff to
Woochill Drive.

The park lssue is one that 1S dltficult for Me to respond to in
detaIl. Frorn a practical point, I would assume that the City
wlll prohlclt the VFW frOM serVing alcoholic ~everages to patrons
usin9 the ballpark faclllty, unles~ they remain within the
confInes of the VFW bUIlding. I personallY thInk the ballpark is
a very good and healthly arnenity for the surrounding community.
It has recelved assistance from the VFW in order to be
constructed in a manner consistent wlth Class A ballpa~ks. By
copy of this letter, I ask Bob Blerscheld to commer.t to you on
this aspect of the development and copy me on hlS response.
