CARLSON, 51, is President of Can-American Corporation. <br /> <br />Prlor to the organization of Canadlan Fin~nclal corporation ~nd <br />Can-American Corporat!on in 1974 and 1979 respectlvely, Mr. Carlson <br />served as President anG Chairman of the Board of Shelter Corporation <br />of America, Inc., a publIcly-owned company involved in all facets of <br />real estate develop~ent. From 1964 until lY70, ~r. Carlson was <br />Director of Real Estate and Development for Bor-Son construction, <br />Inc. and in that capacity participated in comloerclal, office, retail, <br />and industrial developments. Mr. Carlson majored in Economics and <br />holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Univ~rsity of Minnesota. <br /> <br />ARNI C. THORSTEINSON, 39, is PreSIdent of Shelter Canadian HOldings <br />Li~ited. <br /> <br />Prior to jOlnlng Shelter corporat~on of Canada in 1976, Mr. <br />Thorsteinson was employed by RiChardson Securitles of Canada, <br />initially as a financlal analyst and later as an underwriting <br />executive. Mr. Thorsteinson currently serves on tbe board of <br />direc~0rs of Montreal Trust Company, Unicorp Resources ~imited, <br />Global Comlnunication and Federal Industries Limited. Mr. <br />Thorsteinson holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (honors) fr~m the <br />U~iversity of :.anitoba and was awarded the deSIgnation of Chartered <br />Financial Analyst 1n 1974. <br /> <br />MAR~ K. JOSEPH, 49, BaltImore, Maryland, is PreSident of Shelter <br />Development Corporation. <br /> <br />Until recently, Mr. Joseph was a Managing partner of the law firm of <br />Gallagher, Evelip& & Jones, Baltimore, MarYland, specialiZing in <br />corporate and real estate law. Mr. Jo~eph prevIously served as <br />development dlrector and counsel to the Mayor of Baltimore, serVing <br />on the City Plan~:ng CommiSSion, Commlssloners of Finance, and the <br />Regional Planning Councli. From 1968 to 1971, Mr. Joseph was <br />Baltimore's Deputy HOUSing commissioner. Mr. Joseph nas also been <br />President of the BaltiMore City School Board. Mr. Joseph IS ~ <br />graduat~ of Bro~n UniverSity and holds a J.D. degree from the Harvard <br />law Sch~ol. <br />
