Kehr
988 W. County Road 0
Roseville, MN 55113

Re: Townhouse Complex - Rosev111e, HN

Dear Hr. Kehr:

I have reviewed the comments from the Fire Chief and fire Marshal, the
sketch plan of the site and the information from the I.S.O. office pertafning
to this )roject.

I can ~gree that the Fire Department needs an area to facilitate the movement
of the large ladder trucks. In order to accomplish this it would be a good
idea to increase the size of the bubble or bulge in the corner to accomodate
the turning of vehicles. It would then appear that the maximum distance a
truck would have to be backed up would be 100 feet.

The Fire t-larshal has the right to post the whole road for no parking, if he
should choose to do so. This authority is found in the Fire Code. Section
10.207(c).

As far as the ~ater supply is concerned, if all the information that is
given in the report from the Fire Chief and the I.S.0. office is correctl
there does not appear to be a problem of a water shortage. 1 have checked
with the 1.5.0. office and this appears to be the information given. 1 will
have to admit that without the test information taken from the city mains
that I have no way of verifying the correctness of this infonmatfon. The
basis of the Chief's concern over water supply is of course valid and the
authority for demanding an adequate source is found again in the Fire Code
Section 10.301(c).

1 trust this may be of some help.

Sincerely,
8JJ::'~DARDS

Duane C.
