<br />Roseville Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />;,(tFJ~1T1~/ <br />r! ,/ <br /> <br />To: Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission <br />From: Lonnie Brokke, Director <br />Date: July 3,2002 <br />Re: Updates <br /> <br /> <br />Because the Commission does not meet in July I wanted to update you on a couple of items: <br /> <br />· I am pleased to announce that Jill Anfang, our Recreation Superintendent has been <br />promoted to Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation. Jill has worked with us for <br />four years and has done an excellent job. <br /> <br />· On back of this page is a notice for an upcoming public meeting for the purpose of <br />gathering input regarding a community center in the City of Roseville. The meeting is <br />being advertised for any and all residents to attend. <br /> <br />· Rosefest is winding down and again has been a success, largely due to our volunteers, <br />staff and other City Departments. We also had:R~ al Commissioners in on many of <br />the events, Thanks! We did have som ther 1 sues to deal with but overall <br />everything has been going well. By the time ou receive this note, July 4th will be <br />over. <br /> <br />'? <br />I <br />· Budget meetings with the City Council have not yet been set but are anticipated <br />sometime July or early August. <br /> <br />· At the August meeting, we will be talking about a possible Park tour in September. <br /> <br />· Possible upcoming City Council items include: <br /> <br />o Proposed improvements at the Muriel Sahlin Arboretum by the Central Park <br />Foundation. <br /> <br />o Adoption of the final report of the Natural Resource Management Plan. <br /> <br />o North Suburban Soccer Associations proposal to light the second Field at <br />Rosebrook Park? <br /> <br /> <br />Rosebrook ParkJPress Gym <br /> <br />~fYOU have any questions about the above items or anything else, please call myself(651-415- <br />2107) or Jill (651-415-2106) anytime.
