<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 18th day of November, 2002, at 6:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 15 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1009.03M OF <br />THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2200 - 2250 MIDLAND HILLS DRIVE (PF 3436). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tom Metz (property manager - Gaughan Properties) has requested a <br />variance to Section 1009 .03M of the Roseville City Code in allow the replacement of an existing <br />ground sign at Midland Grove Condominiums; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property is addressed as 2200 - 2250 Midland Grove Road and is legally <br />described at as: <br /> <br />NEEDS CORRECT LEGAL DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1009.03M requires a ground sign to be set back a minimum of 15 <br />feet from a property line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the existing ground sign for Midland Grove Condominiums lies within the <br />road right-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Metz desires to install the new sign up to the property line or a 15 foot <br />encroachment into the required 15 foot setback; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said location has been selected because it does not conflict with a number of <br />mature trees and is at a higher elevation affording it a better view; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Metz variance request on November 6, 2002, and recommended (7-0) approval of the request, <br />based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated <br />November 6, 2002. <br /> <br />1 <br />
