EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 10th day of December, 2012, at 6:00 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Pust, Johnson, Willmus, McGehee, Roe and the following were absent: None. Councilmember Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION No. 11034 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF METRO TRANSIT'S FUNDING REQUEST FROM MnDOT THROUGH THE CHAPTER 152 STATEWIDE TRANSIT GRANT SOLICITATION PROGRAM Snelling Avenue Arterial BRT Stations WHEREAS, Metro Transit wishes to make transit improvements to State Trunk Highway 51 by building arterial bus rapid transit stations (Project); and, WHEREAS, the Project will be of mutual benefit to the Minnesota Department of Transportation(MnDOT), Metro Transit, and the City of Roseville; and, WHEREAS, Metro Transit is requesting financial participation for allowable construction costs of the Project from MnDOT as noted and through the Chapter 152 Transit Grant Solicitation Program; and, WHEREAS, Metro Transit is committed to providing all other non-eligible costs of the Project as well as any construction costs exceeding the award amount and for any agreed on-going costs for operation or maintenance as noted in the solicitation; and, WHEREAS, Metro Transit is committed to completing the Project if selected and funding is provided in part through the Chapter 152 Statewide Transit Grant Solicitation Program; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville hereby supports the Project and Metro Transit's funding request from MnDOT for the construction of the project.
