<br />Roseville's 2000 Census population of 33,690 was the eighteenth largest of the 146 Twin <br />City metro area suburban communities. Roseville is also the third largest city in Ramsey <br />County. Incorporated with a population of 4,589 in 1948, the community experienced <br />rapid growth in the 50's and 60's. By 1970, the growth slowed as the community matured <br />and less land was available for development. In 1999 the population was estimated by the <br />city at 34,525. Projections indicate a moderate growth rate through the year 2020 when <br />Roseville will have 37,000 residents. <br /> <br /> <br />ual & Projec <br /> <br />!~ <br /> <br />Roseville's population distribution by age shows an increasing middle age and senior <br />population and declining numbers of youngsters. The largest population group is among <br />the 20-44 age group. The older population groups continue to increase, signifying <br />healthier seniors and the desire to retire and remain in the community. <br /> <br /> <br />As Roseville ages, the median age (now 41 years) increases. The City is the fourth oldest <br />(in population) City in Minnesota.
