In 1990, for both owners and renters, Roseville housing costs are higher than the County or
State. A typical resident (owner) spent approximately $38 more per month on housing costs
when compared to the County at large, and $92 more than the State wide average. In 2000,
the average renter of a two-bedroom apartment paid an average of $915 per month in the
Metro area, $840 in St. Paul and $910 per month in Roseville. The Metro vacancy rate was
2.4% while Roseville' s rate was less than 1.8%. (Source: GV A Marquette, Apartment
Trends)

Roseville's residents are very similar to the Metro area regarding the number of
vehicles per household; 59% report having 2 or more vehicles; 25% have 3 or more.
Nationally, 18% of households have 3 or more vehicles.
