<br />Household Hazardous Waste. <br /> <br />Ramsey County contracts for drop-off sites for household hazardous waste. <br />HHW includes old gasoline, old paint, bug spray, and other materials that could <br />be harmful if not properly handled. <br /> <br />There is a year-round collection site in St. Paul and seasonal collection sites in <br />various cities. One of those seasonal sites is on Kent Street in Roseville, which is <br />open Fridays and Saturdays in June. <br /> <br />Residents may drop off HHW for free. The County pays for collection and <br />processing of HHW. <br /> <br />The City of Roseville IS also involved in many programs that benefit the <br />environment such as: 1) Annual street sweeping program; 2) Leaf Pickup <br />Program; 3) compost site; and 4) tree trimming. <br /> <br />Noise. The Roseville City Code addresses noise control regulations in Section 207 <br />under public nuisances. Because the language in this section of the ordinance is <br />general in nature, the City has chosen to enforce noise level standards <br />established by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. <br /> <br />SECTION 9. PARKS AND RECREATION DEVELOPMENT PLANS <br /> <br />The City values its parkland and recreational opportunities that strengthen and <br />enhance community life in Roseville. The City believes that recreation and <br />leisure experiences contribute to the physical and economic health of the <br />community by providing needed facilities and making Roseville a desirable <br />place to live, work and conduct business. <br /> <br />Roseville has always had as a goal to preserve open space and provide high <br />quality park and recreation programming. The park system has won national <br />awards and recognition for the plan and system. There are 28 municipal park <br />areas in Roseville totaling 635 acres. These parks are listed on the Park <br />Amenities Chart, along with their corresponding facilities. <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation System Plan is part of the Roseville Comprehensive <br />Plan that will guide the development of the park system in the City of Roseville. <br />Park and recreation guidelines have been developed in this plan to provide a <br />framework for decisions by City officials. <br /> <br />Parks and open spaces serve a number of functions in Roseville.
