AttachmentA <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />1 <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 26th day of January, 2015, at <br />2 <br />6:00 p.m. <br />3 <br />4 <br />The following members were present: ; and and the following were absent: . <br />5 <br />6 <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />7 <br />8 <br />RESOLUTION No. <br />9 <br />10 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BIDS <br />11 <br />FOR 2015 METER REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />12 <br />13 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according to the plans <br />14 <br />and specifications thereof on file in the office of the Manager of said City, said bids were <br />15 <br />received on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. opened and tabulated according to law <br />16 <br />and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />17 <br />18 <br />Base Bid Alternate Bid <br />Contractor(with sump pump inspection) <br />$260,000 <br />$266,500 <br />Ferguson Waterworks <br />Midwest Testing $275,000 $300,000 <br />$300,000 <br />$350,000 <br />SL Serco <br />19 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Ferguson Waterworks, is the lowest responsible bidder at the <br />20 <br />tabulated base bid price of $260,000, and also the lowest responsible bidder considering the <br />21 <br />Alternate bid at a price of $266,500. <br />22 <br />23 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />24 <br />Minnesota: <br />25 <br />26 <br />1.The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />27 <br />contract with Ferguson Waterworks, Inc. for $266,500 in the name of the City of <br />28 <br />Roseville for the above work according to the plans and specifications thereof <br />29 <br />heretofore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Manager. <br />30 <br />2.The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />31 <br />any deposits made with their bids except the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />32 <br />next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed. <br />33 <br />34 <br /> <br />
