<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 16th day of December, 2002, at 6:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Klausing, Kough, Schroeder, Maschka, Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Klausing introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10058 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 52 SQUARE FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION <br />1004.01A6 OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY ADDRESSED AS 458 <br />SOUTH MCCARRONS BOULEVARD (PF 3447). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Harold & Anna Van Sickle have requested a variance to Section 1004.01A6 <br />of the Roseville City Code to allow construction of a home and attached garage on the vacant <br />parcel at 458 South McCarrons Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Van Sickle parcel is currently addressed as 458 South McCarrons <br />Boulevard and legally described at as: <br /> <br />That part of Lot 1, Block 3, Rolling Green, Ramsey County, Minnesota, lying West of a line <br />describes as follows: Commencing at a point on the northerly line of said Lot 1, 30 feet west of <br />the northeast corner of said Lot 1 and thence running in a direct line due south and ending at <br />the southeast corner of said Lot 1, according to the plat thereoffiled of record in the office of <br />the Registrar of Titles within andfor said County; PID Number: 13-29-23-31-0053. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parcel was originally platted in 1939; had a home constructed in the late <br />1960's; which home was removed (raised) due to environmental accident in 1998; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Van Sickles desire to construct a story and a half walkout home, <br />attached garage, and other site improvements on the unique shaped parcel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code limits R-l and R-2 properties <br />to a maximum impervious coverage of 30% the size ofthe parcel/lot; the City has estimated that <br />the proposed impervious coverage for the subject parcel to be 3,531 square feet or 52 square feet <br />over the maximum allowed by Section 1004.01A6 of the City Code; with said overage including <br />the change in pavement type from gravel to all weather surface for the drive accessing South <br />McCarrons Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Van Sickle variance request to Section 1004.01A6 ofthe Roseville City Code on December 4, <br />2002, and recommended (6-0) approval of the request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 <br />and conditions of Section 6 ofthe project report dated December 4, 2002. <br /> <br />1 <br />
