Plannill1?: File 3487: Request by Dan Sutliff, 992 Shryer Avenue, for a <br />VARIANCE to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum Total Surface Area) to <br />allow for construction of a living area addition. <br /> <br />Chair Duncan opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke provide a <br />summary of the project report dated June 4, 2003. <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke advised that Daniel Sutliff, 992 Shryer Avenue, seeks approval of a <br />variance to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum Total Surface Area) of the Roseville City <br />Code to allow the construction of a 480 square foot addition to the existing home, which <br />improvement will increase the impervious coverage on the parcel (10,216 sq. ft.) from the <br />allowable amount of3,065 square feet (30%) to 3,587 square feet (35.1%). <br /> <br />The proposal by Mr. Sutliff (living area addition and replacement of accessory building <br />with garden shed) will increase the parcel's impervious coverage from an existing <br />condition (estimated) of3,40l square feet (33.3%) to 3,587 square feet (35.1 %), thus <br />requiring a variance of 522 square feet (the difference from allowed 3,065 to proposed <br />3,587). The staff recommended approval with conditions. <br /> <br />The applicant supported the staff report dated June 4, 2003. <br /> <br />Chair Duncan closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Traynor moved, seconded by Member Stone, to recommend approval <br />of an 522 square foot (5%) VARIANCE to Section 1004.0lA6 (Maximum Total Surface <br />Area) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 480 square foot living <br />area addition and the replacement of a 374 accessory building with a 80 square foot <br />garden shed at 992 Shryer Avenue, based on the findings of Section 5 and the conditions <br />of section 6 of the project report dated June 4,2003. <br /> <br />Ayes: 6 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />
