D. <br /> <br />Department Approval: <br />TP jDPW <br /> <br />City Manager Approval <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />LAND USE <br /> <br />Item Description: <br /> <br />Request by Karen Casper for a VARIANCE to Section 1004.02D5 of the <br />Roseville City Code to allow the encroachment of a screen and four- <br />season porch into the required 30 foot rear yard setback for property at <br />2508 Marion Street (PF3492). <br /> <br />NOTE: <br /> <br />This request has been placed on the Land Use section of the City Council <br />Agenda due to an incorrect public hearing notice specifically pertaining to the <br />location of the Planning Commission meeting held on July 9, 2003. <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />1.1 Karen Casper, 2508 Marion Street, seeks approval of a variance to Section 1004.02D5 <br />(Dwelling Dimensions - Rear Yard Setback) of the Roseville City Code to allow the <br />construction of a lower level screen porch and a upper level four-season porch, which <br />addition encroaches 11 feet into the required 30 foot rear yard setback. <br /> <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br /> <br />. Application submitted on June 2, 2003. <br />. Determined complete on June 6, 2003. <br />. 60-day review deadline on August 5, 2003. <br />. Staff Review & Recommendation: Approval w/conditions - July 9, 2003. <br />. Planning Commission: Approval (5-0) recommendation w/conditions - July 9, 2003 <br />. City Council Action: Approval w/conditions - July 21, 2003 <br /> <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> <br />2.1 The Community Development Staff recommends approval of an 11 foot rear yard <br />V ARlANCE to Section 1004.02D5 of the Roseville City Code for Karen Casper to allow <br />construction of two level addition comprised of a screened porch and four-season porch <br />on to the rear of the principal structure at 2508 Marion Street, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />3.0 SUGGESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />3.1 Adopt a resolution granting an 11 foot VARIANCE (section 1004.02D5) <br />w/conditions (see Section 8 for detailed action). <br /> <br />PF3492 - ReA 072103 - Page 1 of 5 <br />
