Lobby for existing Roseville Special Legislation (House Bill # 989 by Jacobson, Greiling and <br />Senate Bill # 1312, Pogemiller) that is still active as it was not passed last session. <br /> <br />2. Submit a new bonding bill request for the public infrastmcture needed in Twin Lakes for roads <br />($10 million) stonnwater improvements, streetscapes and environmental clean up (request Marty <br />& Jacobson/Greiling to author). <br /> <br />3. Support Statewide TIF Urban Renewal Legislation being proposed by MN Solutions (author <br />Bentzel). Prepare city support message to Rep. Greiling, Jacobson, Senator Marty, Chaudray, <br />Pogemiller. <br /> <br />4. Support State Redevelopment Account as a needed tool for brownfield redevelopment question <br />its application to greenfields and assert its value in the first ring, especially public infrastmcture <br />and environmental clean up issues. <br /> <br />Strate2V: <br /> <br />1. Email Senator Marty regarding sponsorship of bonding bill and support of Redevelopment <br />Account as altemative to TIF. In addition, relay Roseville intention of lobbying for the TIF <br />Special Legislation again with the hopes that Senator Marty would not oppose while respecting <br />his philosophical differences with TIF in general. <br /> <br />Action: Bonnie to email Bennett with possible language for discussion with Senator Marty. <br />Bennett to draft email to be sent by the Mayor, Dean or Manager to author the bonding <br />request. Visit Senator Marty as needed. <br /> <br />Due Date: March 1st <br /> <br />2. Call Representative Abrams (chair of House tax committee) to discuss Roseville's special <br />legislation and it need for Twin Lakes. Invite Jacobson to the meeting when it is arranged. <br /> <br />Action: Bennett to call Abrams' office to arrange meeting. When the meeting is set, Driscoll <br />to relay time, place and attendance with Mayor, Dean, Neal, Welsch and Belmett. Bennett to <br />prepare talking points for meeting. No more than 3, plus Bonnie as needed, to visit with <br />Abrams'. Should a business rep. also be present? <br /> <br />Due Date: March 5th <br />
