<br />105.040. PROHIBITED. or <br />shall sell, offer for sale, or in any way ownership or possession of any prohibited <br />in Section 1105.030 of this ordinance except as provided for in Section 1105.050.2. <br /> <br />1105.050. EXCEPTIONS. The following non-domesticated animals shall be exempt <br />from the provisions of Section 1105.010 through 1105.080 of this ordinance, and may be kept <br />within the City of Little Canada: <br /> <br />A. Non-domesticated animals brought into the City of Little Canada for <br />entertainment, exhibition, show, promotional or educational purposes, provided <br />such animals are kept within an enclosure or other secure method of storage. <br /> <br />B. Non-domesticated animals for sale or display in commercial pet stores, provided <br />that prior to a sale of any such non-domesticated animal to a person, firm or <br />corporation who intends to keep such animal in the City of Little Canada, the pet <br />store shall be required to give the buyer a photocopy of this ordinance. <br /> <br />C. Non-domesticated animals kept in a public zoo or other public or non-profit <br />institution engaged in the permanent display of non-domesticated animals. <br /> <br />D. Non-poisonous snakes, birds kept indoors, hamsters, mice, rabbits, gerbils, white <br />rats, guinea pigs, chinchillas or lizards, and similar small animals, provided such <br />animals are maintained continuously in cages within the City of Little Canada. <br /> <br />E. Non-domesticated animals kept temporarily for a public zoo by voltmteers under <br />a designated volunteer program, provided the prior to the storage in the City of <br />Little Canada, such volunteer informs the Little Canada Animal Control Officer <br />of its presence. <br /> <br />F. All non-domesticated animals kept by veterinary clinics or other research <br />institutions which are affiliated with a college or other institute of higher <br />education, provided that adequate measures are taken to prevent such animals <br />from escaping or injuring the general public. <br /> <br />1105.060. IMPOUNDING OF NON-DOMESTICATED ANIMALS. Any non- <br />domesticated animal kept in violation of this ordinance may be impounded by the City, and after <br />being so impounded for five (5) days or more without being reclaimed by the owner, may be sold <br />or destroyed. Any person reclaiming such impounded animal shall pay the costs of impounding <br />and keeping the same, and shall provide documentation of the animal's relocation outside of the <br />City. <br /> <br />1105.070. EXISTING NON-DOMESTICATED ANIMALS. Any person keeping or <br />maintaining any non-domesticated animal in violation of this ordinance at the time this ordinance <br /> <br />1105-2 <br />
