<br /> <br />Department Approval: <br />DPW ITP <br /> <br />--} 7'> <br /> <br />/~ A!_;f~ CONSENT <br />Request by Akpene Asempa for a CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT to <br />allow the operating of an adult day care facility within a multi-tenant <br />business building located 1895 Rice Street (PF3570). <br /> <br /> <br />Item Description: <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />1.1 Akpene Asempa, operator of a day care facility for functionally impaired adults, proposes <br />to establish such a facility in a multi tenant business building located at 1895 Rice Street. <br />A conditional use pennit is required because the day care facility is proposed within a B- <br />3 general business zoning district. The operation also is required to receive Minnesota <br />Department of Human Services approval and a license from that department. <br /> <br />1.2 The conditional use permit process for this request allows the City to consider <br />compatibility with adjoining properties; impacts on traffic, public facilities, and property <br />values; impact on the general health, safety, and public welfare; and compatibility with <br />the City's comprehensive plan. The process also allows the City to impose those <br />conditions it considers necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. <br /> <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br />.
