Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the
Roseville, County of Ramsey, Milmesota, was held on the 14th day of June, 2004, at 6:30 p.m.

The following members were present: Schroeder, Maschka, Thlan, Kough, Klausing
and the following were absent: None

Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

RESOLUTION NO. 10225
A RESOLUTION DENYING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.016 OF THE
ROSEVILLE CITY CODE AND DENIAL OF A MINOR SUBDIVISION FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2485 PASCAL STREET (PF3571).

WHEREAS, Edward Trudeau has requested multiple variance to Section 1004.016
(Residential Dimensional Requirements) of the Roseville City Code and a Minor Subdivision to
allow the creation oftwo substandard residential parcels at 2485 Pascal Street; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Trudeau specifically seeks a lot depth and lot size variance for tow
parcels of land he would create form his existing double frontage lot; and

WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the
Trudeau Variance and Minor Subdivision request on June 2, 2004, and recommended (4-0)
denial of the request.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to deny Mr
Trudeau's Variance and Minor Subdivision request based on the following findings:

1. No hardship can be concluded to necessitate the granting of a variance.

2. The proposed parcel design creates two substandard residential parcels.

3. The proposed design is out of character with other parcels directly adjacent to the
subject site.

4. The proposed design, due to its limited area for a house footprint, may require
future variances.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Member Thlan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Schroeder,
Maschka, Thlan, Klausing
and the following voted against: Kough

WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

1
