He has operated under a Conditional Use <br />Permit (CUP), in the Hamline Shopping Center, within the detached office building on <br />the site. He is relocating to an 1-2 zone where such uses are permitted with a CUP, due to <br />the change in uses on the Shopping Center site to residences <br /> <br />Mr. Simpson advised that there would be no vehicle display (vehicles will be kept in their <br />current location behind the building); that additional signage is necessary and a permit <br />will be applied for; that hours would be limited from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday <br />through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday; and that the Interim Use Permit be <br />administratively reviewed annually with no renewal beyond 3 years. <br /> <br />Dennis Welsch explained the reasons for attempting to keep the vehicles overnight within <br />the building showroom (easily accessible vandalism). <br /> <br />Member Pust asked for information about hours of operation - no Sundays, why? (State <br />Law) <br /> <br />Chair Mulder asked if the operation has already begun. (few vehicles on site for two <br />months) <br /> <br />Mr. Simpson noted that Roseville Properties has alerted him that his sales/leasing use is <br />short term for 2-3 years. He explained the business. <br /> <br />There were no further comments form the public. <br /> <br />Chair Mulder closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Traynor moved, seconded by Member Bakeman, to recommend <br />approval of a three year Interim Use Permit in accordance with Section 1012.06A and B <br />of the Roseville City Code for property located at 2660 Cleveland Avenue (Simpson <br />Auto Leasing and Sales) subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. The Interim Use Permit be for a maximum of three years, terminating on <br />June 30, 2007, with an annual review by the Community Development <br />Department. <br />
