<br /> <br />We wish a Garden backside <br />This garden will include a 32' x 8' deck and pergola off the master suite and <br />is intended to be private in nature. <br /> <br /> <br />There is a berm at the rear of the property, just behind the proposed fence <br />that rises up an average of 2'6". With a standard 6 ft. high fence, the fence <br />will appear to be only 3'6" high from the neighbor's property. An 8'0" high <br />fence will rise 5' 6" above the neighbor's ground level. The lilac bushes <br />growing on the berm will hide the fence during the spring and summer with <br />the fence becoming visible during the fall and winter months, The <br />topography to the west is level with the property line 13' away, however the <br />property to the Southeast rises approximately 5'0" and an 8'0" high fence on <br />this side is also very desirable. The topography to the east is level and over a <br />100' from Galtier street. <br /> <br />Weare requesting a variance to install an 8'0" fence on all three sides for <br />privacy and to preserve a sense of architectural consistency in the garden. <br />The fence will be constrocted of preserved wood and stained driftwood gray <br />to match the house. <br /> <br />Please see attached site plan, building plans and photographs. <br />
