Roseville Natural Resources Volunteer/Community Engagement Events <br />Park/LocationTime FrameDescription <br />Planting of 2,060 native woodland grass, sedge and flower plants in woodland areas <br />Langton LakeSeptember 2014at Langton Lake. This effort included nearly 30 volunteers from Stantec as part of their <br />"Stantec in the Community" day event. <br />Collection of seed by a group of AFSA high school students from native wildflower <br />plants at Central Park Muriel Sahlin Arboretum. Seed will be used for restoration <br />Central Park Dale East September 2014 <br />projects within City Parks natural areas during the Park Renewal Program Natural <br />Resources Restoration. <br />ANTICIPATED EVENTS <br />Gather and stack cut invasive/nonnative brush as part of woodland/savanna <br />restoration at Acorn Park. Should conditions be unfavorable for this activity, volunteers <br />Acorn ParkJanuary 2015 <br />will assist with broadcast seeding of native woodland/savanna grass, sedge and flower <br />seed. <br />Gather and stack cut invasive/nonnative brush as part of woodland/savanna <br />restoration areas.
