3

With regard to a plan build an addition to back the garage on the property
1666 Oakcrest Avenue, it had been determined this would be in violation of the
Roseville Building Code by exceeding too much of the lot size. This is because of the
set back of the house and garage which necessitated a concrete driveway 83 feet long
and 10 feet wide which at the end stretches 24 feet to the house and 28 feet to the
garage. In addition, an 8 1/2 foot concrete patio was built along the east side of the
garage to the house.

Because of the small size of the house with five rooms and only two small and one fair
size closets, storgae space is limited and requires the use of the garage and the base-
ment family room for this purpose. The building of the addition would provide the
space for storage, lawn mower, snow blower, yard equipment and a small workshop. It
would make possible the use of the family room and allow the parking of vehicles in
the garage.

Your consideration for this variance to allow the building of the addition to the garage is
greatly appreciated.
