<br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Mimlesota, was held on the 1 st day of December, at 5 :00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Mulder, Doherty, <br />and Boerigter, <br /> <br />Variance Board Member Mulder introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />VB RESOLUTION NO.8 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 470 SQUARE FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION <br />1004.01A6 (MAXIMUM TOTAL SURFACE AREA) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />FOR WILLIAM BJORNNES, 3081 EVELYN STREET (PF3615) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Bjornnes has requested a V ARlANCE to Section 1004.01A6 <br />(Maximum Total Surface Area) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 680 sq. <br />ft. addition to his home; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Bjornnes property is located at 3081 Evelyn Street, and legally described <br /> <br />as: <br /> <br />Lot 4, Block 1, Cove's North Boundary Addition <br />PIN 04-22-23-22-0074 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 10004.01A6 requires a maximum impervious coverage on Single Family <br />Residential property not to exceed 30% ofthe lot size, or in the case of the Bjornnes parcel 2,912 <br />square feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Bjomnes parcel has a current impervious coverage of2,875 sq. ft. <br />(29.6%) and the proposed addition would increase the total to 3380 sq. ft (34.8%); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed house addition requires a V ARlANCE of 468 sq. ft. in <br />accordance with Section 1013 of the Roseville City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Plamler has concluded that "hardships" are present and support can <br />be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; <br /> <br />1 <br />
