4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AMENDING CHAPTER 201 OF THE CITY CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 203.03 THROUGH 203.04, REGARDING PLANNING COMMISSION TERMS AND APPOINTMENTS. The City Council of Roseville ordains: Title 2, Commissions, Sections 202.03 through Section Code is hereby amended and shall read as follows: of the 12 201.03: MEMBERS OF COMMISSION: 13 A. Members: Members shall be residents of the City. 14 R Term of Appointment: of the members of the Commission shall be appointed for 15 terms of three (3) years. A commissioner's full term shall begin on April 1. A 16 commission member may serve up to two (2) full terms, plus any unexpired term for 17 which the member was appointed. Both original and successive appointees shall hold 18 their offices until their successors are appointed and qualified. 19 C. Vacancies: Vacancies during the term shall be filled by the City Council for the 20 unexpired portion of the term. 21 D. Oath: Every appointed member shall, before entering upon the discharge of his/her 22 duties, take an oath that he/she will faithfully discharge the duties of his/her office. 23 E. Officers: The Council shall appoint one of the members to act as chairperson. The 28 Community Development Director or designee shall act as the Planning 29 Commission's secretary. 30 R Term: The term of the chairperson shall be for one year. The chairperson shall either 31 be reappointed or replaced by the City Council at the first regular City Council 32 meeting of April during each calendar year. 33 C.
