<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6.1 The Staff recommends approval of an 29 foot VARIANCE to Section 1005.01 <br />(Business District - Dimensional Requirements) of the Roseville City Code <br />to allow the relocation of a legal confornling pylon sign to no closer than 1 foot from the <br />property line adjacent to Lexington A venue (west) based on the findings in Section 5 and <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. The edge of the pylon sign (not the pylon post) must be set back a minimum of 1 <br />foot from the property line adjacent to Lexington Avenue. <br /> <br />b. The pylon sign height must be limited to a maximum height of 20 feet above <br />grade. <br /> <br />c. The applicant must locate and expose the property comer markers adjacent to <br />Lexington A venue, prior to the issuance of a sign permit. <br /> <br />d. The pylon sign must be internally lit (as currently designed) and externally lit <br />which source may be visible from Lexington Avenue and the adjacent residential <br />properties. <br /> <br />e. The sign base (ground) must include some landscaping, including low growing <br />shrubs and perennials. <br /> <br />f. The variance (if granted) shall expire within 6 months of its approval if a sign <br />permit is not issued (Section 1013.03). <br /> <br />7.0 SUGGESTED VARIANCE BOARD ACTION: <br /> <br />7.1 ADOPT a RESOLUTION APPROVING a 29 foot VARIANCE to Section 1005.01 <br />(Business District - Minimum Dimensional Requirements) of the Roseville City <br />Code for Dairy Queen allowing the relocation of an existing pylon sign, based on the <br />findings in Section 5 and the conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated May 4, <br />2005. <br /> <br />PF3639 _RVBA_050405.doc - Page 4 of 5 <br />
