Community Engagement Commission Minutes <br />January 15, 2015 – Draft Minutes <br />Page 18 of 18 <br /> <br />Attachment 739 <br />Volunteer Appeal 740 <br />The Community Engagement Commission is an advisory commission appointed by the City Council to advise it on 741 <br />ways and means to encourage, facilitate, and streamline the engagement of Roseville residents in their community. 742 <br />It is seeking volunteers for the following two initiatives. 743 <br />Neighborhood Association Task Force 744 <br /> The Community Engagement Commission is seeking volunteers to work with it on an approximately-four month 745 <br />project focused on neighborhood associations. Volunteers would serve on a task force exploring ways to foster, 746 <br />facilitate and encourage the formation of neighborhood associations and to encourage and organize authentic and 747 <br />effective neighborhood input into civic decision-making. 748 <br /> 749 <br /> 750 <br />Task Force meetings will occur once a month, with the exception of special meetings determined by Task Force 751 <br />members. The task force will make 761 <br />recommendations for improving the effectiveness in communicating with Roseville business and residents impacted 762 <br />by zoning decisions. The Task Force recommendations will be transmitted to both Commissions, with a goal of 763 <br />submitting any approved changes to the City Council. 764 <br /> 765 <br />No experience is required. The only requirement is an interest in improving the City’s notification process and the 766 <br />willingness to volunteer time for this short-term project. 767 <br /> 768 <br />Task Force meetings will occur once a month, with the exception of special meetings determined by Task Force 769 <br />members.
