Community Development Department
651-792-7005+ fax: 651.792-7070

May 11, 2005

Dear Roseville Property Owner:

You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the Roseville Development Review
Committee's (DRC) Setback Permit Hearing on Thursday, May 19, at 3:00 p.m., in the
Roseville City Hall Aspen Room - adjacent to the Community Development Department.

Michael Kaase, 1405 Belmont Lane West, is seeking approval of a 2 foot SIDE YARD
SETBACK PERMIT to allow the construction of a double garage with a mudroom addition
which would lie three feet from the easterly property line. The required side yard setback on this
parcel is a minimum of 5 feet. The proposal indicates a minimum setback of 3 feet. Thus, the 2
foot encroachment requires the need for the Setback Permit.

The Setback Permit process allows adjacent property owners the opportunity to comment on the
proposal in writing or to comment at the above-mentioned hearing. Should you have any
comments or questions about this particular Setback Pemlit application, please feel free to attend
the DRC's Administrative Hearing on Thursday, May 19, at 3:00 p.m. (Aspen Room); you
may call me at 651-792-7074; or you can e-mail meatthomas.paschke@ci.roseville.mn.us.

Attached for your infonnation is a copy of the application, and proposed plans. If a decision to
approve the request is made, a building permit can be issued in ten (10) days or less depending
on whether an appeal is filed by an adjacent property owner.

Regards,

CITY of ROSEVILLE

Thomas Paschke
City Planner

Attachments: Application/plans
