Shared Services Update* <br />Attachment B <br />March 2015 <br />Roseville Services Used by Others <br />Description of Shared Service Shared Service Updates: <br />1.GIS Services with North St. Paul <br />For the past five years Since 2008, the City of Roseville has <br />o <br />provided the City of North St. Paul 425 hours of Community <br />Development staff time for GIS services for a fee of $15,000 <br />annually. North St. Paul has continued using GIS <br />PT 06/09 <br />services in 2010. Staff will plan on <br />PT 03/10PT 06/10 <br />continuing this relationship into 2011. This program <br />PT 1/11 <br />will continue into 2012.with provisions for annual adjustments <br />in fees charged to North St. Paul.Entered into a new <br />PT 10/11 <br />contract, December 2011 <br />PT 1/12 PB 6/14PB 03/15 <br />o <br />2.Program Offerings to Lauderdale Entered into an general agreement to provide certain program <br />o <br />offerings to the community of Lauderdale for a fee <br />LB 6/09 <br />Renewed Recreation Agreement for 2012 LB 4-12 <br />o <br />3.IT support services Since 1999 Roseville has provided IT support services to other <br />o <br />governmental agencies. As of 2014, Roseville provides services <br />to3134separate organizations.CKM 03/15 <br />These partnerships generate over $1 million annually to offset <br />o <br />Roseville’s IT costs. <br />Recent JPA’s include Centerville (2014);Centennial Lakes <br />o <br />Police, Lake Johanna Fire, and Fridley (2014)and Hugo, Circle <br />Pines, and Birchwood Village (2013); CKM 06/14 CKM 03/09 <br />Since 1999 Roseville has provided IT support services to other <br />o <br />governmental agencies. As of 2013, Roseville provides services <br />to 31 separate organizations. <br />These partnerships generate over $1 million annual to offset <br />o <br />Roseville’s IT costs. <br />Recent JPA’s include Hugo, Circle Pines, and Birchwood <br />o <br />Village (2013); Anoka and St. Francis (2012) CKM 01/14 <br />o <br />4.Joint Fiber Optic Network Since 2002, the City has partnered with the Roseville School <br />o <br />District and Ramsey County Library System for the joint <br />construction of a city-owned fiber optic network. <br />Project cost-to-date (2014) is $615,000, of which only $309,000 <br />o <br />was funded by the City. The City retains ownership and <br />operational control of the Network. CKM 06/23 <br />o <br />5.Engineering Services Falcon Heights and Continue to provide Engineering support services <br />DS 05/09 <br />o <br />Arden Hills Arden Hills Considering Reducing Support from Roseville <br />DS <br />o <br />1/12 Ended Arden Hills Engineering Agreement 5/12 <br />6.Street message painting Provide as needed to Falcon Heights <br />DS 6/09 <br />o <br />Multi-Jurisdictional tactical and crisis negotiation team involving the <br />7. <br />o <br />East Metro SWAT <br />following cities: Roseville, St. Anthony, , North St. Paul, and <br />University of MN police department. RM 4/13 <br />8.Pursuit Intervention Technique Roseville personnel must attend this training every three years. <br />o <br />TrainingRPD oversees this training and is working on adding more <br />departments to the group. <br /> RM 04/13 <br />
