Shared Services Update* Attachment B March 2015 Roseville Services Used by Others Description of Shared Service Shared Service Updates: 1.GIS Services with North St. Paul For the past five years Since 2008, the City of Roseville has o provided the City of North St. Paul 425 hours of Community Development staff time for GIS services for a fee of $15,000 annually. North St. Paul has continued using GIS PT 06/09 services in 2010. Staff will plan on PT 03/10PT 06/10 continuing this relationship into 2011. This program PT 1/11 will continue into 2012.with provisions for annual adjustments in fees charged to North St. Paul.Entered into a new PT 10/11 contract, December 2011 PT 1/12 PB 6/14PB 03/15 o 2.Program Offerings to Lauderdale Entered into an general agreement to provide certain program o offerings to the community of Lauderdale for a fee LB 6/09 Renewed Recreation Agreement for 2012 LB 4-12 o 3.IT support services Since 1999 Roseville has provided IT support services to other o governmental agencies. As of 2014, Roseville provides services to3134separate organizations.CKM 03/15 These partnerships generate over $1 million annually to offset o Roseville’s IT costs. Recent JPA’s include Centerville (2014);Centennial Lakes o Police, Lake Johanna Fire, and Fridley (2014)and Hugo, Circle Pines, and Birchwood Village (2013); CKM 06/14 CKM 03/09 Since 1999 Roseville has provided IT support services to other o governmental agencies. As of 2013, Roseville provides services to 31 separate organizations. These partnerships generate over $1 million annual to offset o Roseville’s IT costs. Recent JPA’s include Hugo, Circle Pines, and Birchwood o Village (2013); Anoka and St. Francis (2012) CKM 01/14 o 4.Joint Fiber Optic Network Since 2002, the City has partnered with the Roseville School o District and Ramsey County Library System for the joint construction of a city-owned fiber optic network. Project cost-to-date (2014) is $615,000, of which only $309,000 o was funded by the City. The City retains ownership and operational control of the Network. CKM 06/23 o 5.Engineering Services Falcon Heights and Continue to provide Engineering support services DS 05/09 o Arden Hills Arden Hills Considering Reducing Support from Roseville DS o 1/12 Ended Arden Hills Engineering Agreement 5/12 6.Street message painting Provide as needed to Falcon Heights DS 6/09 o Multi-Jurisdictional tactical and crisis negotiation team involving the 7. o East Metro SWAT following cities: Roseville, St. Anthony, , North St. Paul, and University of MN police department. RM 4/13 8.Pursuit Intervention Technique Roseville personnel must attend this training every three years. o TrainingRPD oversees this training and is working on adding more departments to the group.
