Is there additional information you would like the City Council to consider regarding your application?: When I learn a new job or task, I try my best to listen to how it is currently done and follow through with those instructions. But I also take many opportunities to ask questions to help me better understand not only the hows, but the whys. Once I get a grasp on the current process, I try to look for opportunities to make improvements. My experience as an auditor and a regulator has taught me how to be able to take a step back and assess the larger picture; What is the risk? Is this material? Is this issue important to the current task at hand? Even if the end result, process, recommendation, etc. comes out the same as before, these questions can help expand understanding and reaffirm that I'm headed in the right direction.
