Offer a bi-monthly GIS training to planning <br />staff to keep them current with the latest GIS tools and trends. <br />•Re-designed the press copy Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Bike Map. Approximately 4,000 <br />maps are distributed annually. Develop and maintain GIS services and web mapping <br />applications. <br />•Manage all spatial data held on the agency’s ArcGIS Server. Maintain database integrity, <br />currency, and data development in the field and in the office. <br />Superfund Program Paraprofessional (GIS) <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), Duluth, MN, January 2007 – October 2009 <br />•Developed a Data Information Management System to assist cleanup efforts for the Saint Louis <br />River Area of Concern. Created a series of Python scripts to query, summarize, and estimate <br />costs for projects within the Area of Concern. <br />•Converted remediation sites and corresponding data from traditional paper reports to digital GIS <br />files and databases. <br />•Created as well as updated maps as remediation and monitoring work was completed. <br />Developed and managed effective data practices for the divisions GIS data. <br />-Assisted in the development and completion of superfund sites and their project goals. <br />Performed tasks with a critical time deadline. <br />Research Assistant <br />Lyndale Neighborhood Association: Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA), University <br />of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, January 2009 – July 2009 <br />•Constructed step-by-step guidance for the Lyndale Neighborhood Association to manage <br />problem properties. <br />•Developed a database and data collection methodology to monitor problem properties within the <br />neighborhood over time. <br />•Linked data to GIS so that effective analysis and monitoring could be completed by the <br />
