Attachment D <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a public hearing was held at the regular meeting of the <br />st <br />Variance Board of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, on the 1 day of April, <br />2015, at 5:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following members absent: <br />Variance Board Member ………… introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION NO. 112 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCES TO §1010.07.A3 (SIZE) AND §1010.07.A4 <br />(DURATION) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />AT 2048 HAMLINE AVENUE (PF15-003) <br />WHEREAS, City Code §1010.07 provides specific requirements for temporary signs; and <br />WHEREAS, City Code §1010.07.A.3 includes a size limitation for all temporary signs of <br />32 square feet; and <br />WHEREAS, City Code §1010.07.A.4 includes a duration time line for all Temporary <br />signs; and <br />WHEREAS, St. Rose of Lima, property owners of 2048 Hamline Avenue, have requested <br />th <br /> to City Code §1010.07.A.3 and 1010.07.A 4 to allow the installation of 2-75 <br />VARIANCES <br />Anniversary signs to promote their jubilee of September 18, 2015. <br />WHEREAS, the St. Rose of Lima property is legally described as: <br />PIN: 15-29-23-12-0065 <br />see Attachment A for legal description <br />WHEREAS, City Code §1009.04 (Variances) establishes the purpose of a is <br />VARIANCE <br />“to permit adjustment to the zoning regulations where there are practical difficulties applying to <br />a parcel of land or building that prevent the property from being used to the extent intended by <br />the zoning;” and <br />WHEREAS, the Variance Board has made the following findings: <br />th <br />a. <br />The code-compliant way to promote the St. Rose of Lima 75 Anniversary jubilee is an <br />unreasonable requirement, limiting legible font size and restricting the number of days to <br />promote such a very special and infrequent event.
