Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, May 4, 2015 <br /> Page 28 <br /> Mayor Roe noted that by making uses P with CU in all districts it would get to <br /> those remaining issues and concerns in all districts. <br /> Councilmember Laliberte opined that she saw interest by developers for multi- <br /> family in Subarea B due to its proximity to the bus line. <br /> Councilmember Willmus opined that his proposal would not preclude that, but <br /> would still provide for a deeper look if and when it came around. <br /> Mayor Roe noted that the zoning code already and often had specific conditions <br /> for CU's. <br /> Without objection, Mayor Roe concluded that multi-family would be a P use in all <br /> Subareas of the Twin Lakes Redevelopment Area. <br /> Residential/Family: One-family attached (Duplexes - MDR) <br /> Mayor Roe noted current use designation indicated NP and there appeared to be <br /> no indication for change. <br /> Residential/Family: One-family(Townhome/Row House) <br /> Mayor Roe noted current use designation indicated P and there appeared to be a <br /> positive response, indicating no change. <br /> Without objection, Mayor Roe concluded and confirmed that duplexes remained a <br /> NP use and townhomes a P use throughout the Twin Lakes area. <br /> Councilmember Laliberte questioned the side by side houses off County Road C <br /> and Dale Street off Overlook Drive, and whether they were also considered du- <br /> plexes. <br /> Councilmember Willmus stated they were considered townhomes. <br /> Councilmember Laliberte spoke in support of more housing of that type in the <br /> community if they were not considered a duplex. <br /> Mr. Bilotta clarified that duplexes, based again on the street term, was that a du- <br /> plex, while feeling like two single-family homes stuck together was different than <br /> the homes on Overlook that were considered a townhome and broken up versus <br /> being all in a row. <br /> Mayor Roe, as another example, noted the Ramsey Square/Westwood Village <br /> units of a similar nature were townhomes; and confirmed for Councilmember <br /> Laliberte that they would be permitted in this area as well. <br />
