Please use the options below as a guide to start your process. <br />The proposal letter may be addressed individually to each company. The proposal should <br />identify the location of your neighborhood and the number of residences that are seeking <br />competitive proposals for trash collection services and who is the representative in your <br />neighborhood to return the proposals to. Set a deadline for proposals to be received, identify <br />the date when you would like the chosen vendor to begin providing service and include any <br />particular concerns or requirements of your neighborhood. Below are additional options you <br />may want to include in the sample proposal letter. <br />REQUEST PROPOSAL FROM: Insert vendor name, address and representative. <br />SERVICES LOCATION: Insert your neighborhood name, location and or map and number of <br />homes to that will be involved in the organized collection. <br />DEADLINE TO SUBMIT THE PROPOSAL: List when the proposal must be returned to you <br />by. <br />REQUEST HOW LONG THE PRICE IS GUARANTEED FOR <br />LENGTH/EXTENSION OF SERVICE GUARANTEE: Insert the requested length of price <br />guarantee. Each following year of continued service, quoted prices in this proposal will <br />increase by no more than this maximum percentage: %. <br />GARBAGE COLLECTION DAY: State the day of the week you prefer to have all waste <br />picked up, but ask if that is not an option, what day do they provide service. <br />CONTACT PERSON: Request who will be the company representative to serve as the contact <br />person to respond to questions, complaints or calls for service. Also request phone number and <br />email address of the company representative. <br />
