<br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />* * * * * * * * <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 28th day of April 2003 at 6:00 <br />p.m. <br />The following members were present: Klausing, Maschka, Schroeder, Kough and <br />Kysylyczyn <br />And the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Kysylyczyn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10093 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A LIVABLE COMMUNITIES GRANT TO VSI <br />CONSTRUCTION, INe. FOR BOULEVARD LANDSCAPING, SIDEWALKS, BRICK/IRON <br />GROUND MONUMENTS AT 1912 LEXINGTON AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS. The City of Roseville received a grant from the Metropolitan Council <br />Livable Communities Demonstration Fund in 1996, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the guidelines of the grant encourage increasing pedestrian flow by <br />installing sidewalks and additional landscaping in the public right of way, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, VSI Construction, Inc. received approval for a Planned Unit Development <br />to complete the development of Roselawn Village Office Condominiums at 1912 Lexington <br />A venue that will contribute to the aesthetic appeal of the area while not having a negative impact <br />on the surrounding neighborhood, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, $150,000 of the Metropolitan Council's Livable Communities <br />Demonstration Fund is designated for landscaping and sidewalk improvements in the public <br />right-of-way. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City ofRoseville City Council does <br />hereby approve a Livable Communities Grant to VSI Construction, Inc for sidewalk and <br />decorative landscaping improvements in connection with the Roselawn Village Condominium <br />project located at 1912 Lexington Avenue in Roseville not to exceed $51,063. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the grant funds will only be distributed for those <br />actual expenses incurred in connection with boulevard landscaping and sidewalks in the public <br />right-of-way. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Kough and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Klausing, <br />Maschka, Schroeder, Kough and Kysylyczyn <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />\\ Victoria\CornmDev\Planning Files\3200-3249\3224 _Accessible Space\Grant Resolution 042803.doc <br /> <br />... <br />.' <br />
