Ms. Collins pointed out that the screening would be for a documentary and would only be playing for 40 minutes. This would allow time for discussion after the screening. e. Mental Health Update Commissioner Slade stated the next Mental Health forum could be held in July and she would like to do Immigrant Mental Health in July and in the fall do Youth Menta] Health. She would start by contacting Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, the Southeastern Asian Mental Health ACT Team and Center for Social Healing. She has also been in contact with the Center for Victims of Torture. She has contacted Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Sericio (CLUES) and she would like to have 2-3 people on the panel for discussions. An update would be provided at the June meeting. 198 Commissioner Bachhuber stated the Roseville Block Nurse Program Reinvention Task Force has 199 been looking at how the health needs are met for underrepresented populations in Roseville. 200 They are currently conducting a survey and the information from this would be presented to the 201 City Council at the end of the summer. This information could help in forming the Immigrant 202 Mental Health discussion. She suggested, if possible, to wait until the survey has been 203 completed to setup this discussion. 204 205 206 207 208 209 210 211 212 213 214 215 216 217 218 219 220 221 222 223 224 225 Commissioner Thao stated the Commission usually does not meet one month during the summer and this may be in July. Chair Groff suggested putting the next discussion off until the fall. The Commission still needs to contact the attendees from the first dialogue and let them know what else is being planned and worked on. Commissioner Christiansen asked if the City was concentrating on a particular group for these discussions. Commissioner Slade explained the idea is to cover different topics and areas of inental health and also address the needs of the underrepresented populations within the City. Chair Groff stated mental health and domestic violence are topics of interest in the community, especially within the Karen population. Because the topic of inental health is so broad, the Commission had decided to break down the discussions into smaller segments. He suggested scheduling the next session in September/October. Commissioner Slade agreed the start of the Holiday season would be a good time to start a discussion on mental health.
