<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of June, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Schroeder, Klausing, Maschka, and Kysylyczyn <br /> <br />and the following were absent: Kough <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10099 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN 1,083 SQUARE FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION <br />1004.01A6 OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1321 RYAN AVENUE (pF 3472) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, John Bentfield has requested a variance to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum <br />Total Surface Area) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 28 foot by 26 foot <br />(728 sq. ft.) detached accessory building (garage) in his rear yard and additional driveway; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Bentfield parcel is located at 1321 Ryan Avenue and legally described <br /> <br />as: <br /> <br />The East ~ of Lot 19 & all of Lot 20, Block 11, <br />Midway Hills Rearrangement of Como Garden Lots <br />PIn 15-29-23-13-0043 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code limits a single family <br />residential parcel to a maximum total surface area (lot coverage) of 30% of the total lot size; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Bentfield has a lot size of 8040 square feet, which affords the parcel <br />2,412 square feet of impervious coverage; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; Mr. Bentfield desires to make improvements that create a total impervious <br />coverage on the parcel of3,487.5 square feet or an overage of 1,083 square feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Bentfield variance request (Section 1004.01A6) on May 7, 2003, and recommended (4-0) <br />approval of the request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of <br />the project report dated May 7, 2003. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant John <br />Bentfield a 1,083 square foot (13%) VARIANCE to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum Total <br />Surface Area) of the Roseville City Code allowing the construction a 28 foot by 26 foot (728 sq. <br />ft.) detached accessory building (garage) in the rear yard and additional driveway of property <br />located at 1321 Ryan Avenue, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />3 <br />
