Department Approval <br />Item Description <br />BACKGROUND <br />�:i � <br />� <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: July 20, 2015 <br />Item No.: 8.1 <br />City Manager Approval <br />Request to Authorize the City Manager to Enter into a Master Subscriber <br />Agreement for Minnesota Court Data Services <br />The Minnesota State Court Administration Department has created a new internet-based access point <br />for court data users. In order for Roseville's City Attorney's office to have access to the data base, the <br />City Council must pass a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the <br />State of Minnesota to allow for the City Attorney's office to access the data base. <br />A copy of the resolution is attached. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />Internet-based access to Minnesota State Courts data will allow for the City Attorney to more <br />effectively and efficiently prosecute cases on behalf of the city. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACTS <br />There is no cost to the city to access and use the data base. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Enter into the resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Master Subscriber Agreement <br />with the Minnesota State Court Administration Department. <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Motion to enter into the resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Master Subscriber <br />Agreement with the Minnesota State Court Administration Department. <br />Prepared by <br />Attachments: <br />Patrick Trudgeon, City Manager (651) 792-70921 pat.trudgeon@ciryofroseville.com <br />A: Resolution <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
