Department Approval <br />i <br />Item Description <br />j��i <br />J�, <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Arbor Day Proclamation <br />Date: 4-6-15 <br />Item No.: <br />City Manager Approval <br />BACKGROUND <br />As a part of our Tree City USA membership, each year the City of Roseville proclaims a specific day as <br />Arbor Day in order to recognize the importance of trees and to promote their proper care and the planting of <br />many additional appropriate tree species to replace the thousands that have been lost over the years. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />This is consistent with the policy adopted many years ago of annually proclaiming Arbor Day. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACTS <br />None <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that April 24, 2015 be named Roseville Arbor Day. <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Motion adopting the proclamation <br />Prepared by: <br />Attachment <br />Lonnie Brokke, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />Proclamation <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
