<br />5. The City recognizes that there is a high traffic volume of cases in Maplewood Court <br />from January to the present date more than 9,000 case have been heard in <br />Maplewood Court in addition there are an average 50 hearing officer's cases per day; <br /> <br />6. The City Council is concern as to the high cost of security and the level of security <br />provided in Ramsey County as oppose to other ¢ourts across the state. The City ask <br />the County to reevaluate the security costs and needs in the Ramsey County District <br />Courts; <br /> <br />7. There is a strong interest in providing access to victims and witnesses especially <br />victims of domestic assault when easy access to the Court is essential; <br /> <br />8. The Minnesota Legislature has directed that the County must provide an adequate <br />facility for the suburban courts. <br /> <br />The Minnesota Statute Section 488A.185 mandates that Ramsey County shall provide <br />suitable quarters at site located outside of the City ofSt. Paul and within the County of Ramsey. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />councilmember Kough, and upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor of the <br />Resolution: Schroeder, Klausing, Kough and Kysylyczyn ud the following voted against the <br />same: none. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, the said Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />2 <br />
