<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 22nd day of September, 2003, at 6:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Klausing, Kough and Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: Schroeder <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10148 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.01A6 OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR MICHAEL DAVIS, 2730 GRIGGS STREET (PF3518). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Michael Davis requested a Variance to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum Total <br />Surface Area) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 960 square foot detached <br />accessory building in his rear yard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Davis residence is located at 2730 Griggs Streeet, and legally described <br /> <br />as: <br /> <br />Lot 8, Block 2, North Ridge Plat 1, <br /> <br />PIN: 03-29-23-44-0008 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A3 reads "Maximum Total Surface Area: Including <br />detached accessory buildings, principal structures, pavement surfaces (asphalt, concrete and/or <br />brick, stone or other paver), the total impervious surface on a residential lot or parcel shall not <br />exceed 30% of the total lot or parcel size."; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Davis parcel is 10,013 square feet in size, affording 3,002 square feet of <br />impervious coverage; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Davis has an existing impervious coverage on the parcel of3,086 <br />square feet, or an existing overage of 82 square feet or 1 %; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Davis to construct a 960 square foot detached accessory <br />building, small paved kennel run, and driveway replacement would create a total impervious <br />coverage of 3,564 square feet or 35.6%; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Davis request on September 3,2003, recommending (7-0) approval of the 560 square foot <br />Variance to Section 1004.01A6 ofthe Roseville City Code allowing the construction of a 960 <br />square foot detached accessory building, small paved kennel run, and driveway replacement in <br />the rear yard of property located at 2730 Griggs Street, based on the findings of Section 5 and <br />conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated September 3,2003; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to APPROVE <br /> <br />1 <br />
