<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 5th day of <br />January, 2004, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Schroeder, Maschka, Kough and Klausing, <br />and the following were absent: none. <br /> <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 10180 <br />Set Date for Municipal Special Election <br />Establishing April 20, 2004 for a Special Election <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council will have a vacancy when Craig Klausing assumes <br />the office of Mayor on January 5; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to elect someone to the seat as quickly as <br />practical; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff contacted all 10 precincts about availability for elections in <br />March and April, and April 20 is the only date that all precincts are <br />available. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville sets the date <br />of the Special Election as Tuesday, April 20, 2004. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Member Schroeder, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof, Schroeder, Maschka, Kough and Klausing, and the following voted <br />against the same: none. <br />
