<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of <br />the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City <br />Hall on Monday, the 29th day of March, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Kough, Schroeder, Klausing, Maschka, Ihlan <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.102ll <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR A <br />TECHINICAL OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM (TOP) GRANT FROM THE <br />UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville utilizes geographic information systems (GIS) <br />for purposes of more effective city planning and analysis, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City would benefit from access to metro-wide GIS data and tools <br />that would assist in targeting community development and economic projects through <br />evaluation of factors related to housing, employment, employee income and <br />transportation, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, while the City has been an active member of the Ramsey County <br />GIS Users Group and MetroGIS collaborative efforts to date, supporting an even broader <br />cooperative effort through a joint project that is requesting a Technical Opportunities <br />Program grant that would reach across multiple jurisdictions and multiple organizational <br />layers could provide benefit to the City. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville hereby <br />supports the application for a Technical Opportunities Program grant through a letter and <br />hereby authorizes the City Manager to act as signatory. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member Schroeder and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor: : Kough, Schroeder, Klausing, Maschka, Ihlan <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: none. <br /> <br />WHERE UPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />\\Victoria\commdev\PLANNING AND ZONING\PLANNING FILES\3500- <br />3549\3520_ Ramsey_County _ GIS_User _ Group\TOP _2004_ Support(032904 ).doc <br />
